About
MKNews Hub — English edition
MKNews Hub is an independent news portal based in Skopje, North Macedonia. This English edition publishes our own reporting and analysis, written for readers who follow the region from outside it — diaspora, analysts, investors, journalists and anyone tracking the Western Balkans.
What we publish
Our focus is the ground where policy meets everyday life in North Macedonia:
- Politics and EU accession — the Reform Agenda, negotiations with Brussels, and what actually changes domestically
- Economy and energy — infrastructure, investment, the energy transition and regional interconnection
- Sport — national teams, clubs and athletes competing internationally
- Society and culture — the stories behind the headline numbers
How we work
Every story on this edition is written by our editorial team. We report from primary sources — government statements, official documents, press conferences and direct statements from named officials — and we attribute quotes to the person who said them. Where we summarise a document, we say which document.
Most stories are published in both Macedonian and English. The two versions are written separately rather than machine-translated, and each article links to its counterpart so readers can compare.
The Macedonian edition at mknewshub.mk also runs a news aggregator that collects headlines from Macedonian outlets, with each item credited and linked to its original publisher. That aggregation is clearly separated from our own reporting, which is what appears here.
